About the project

IMPACT – Innovative International Programs in AI, Cybersecurity & ICT
Project financed by the European Union under the NAWA Spinaker Programme in the amount of PLN 1 193 172.58.

IMPACT brings together cybersecurity, ICT, and AI, allowing students to explore how these areas work together.

This interdisciplinary approach helps them build practical skills and a broader understanding of real-world problems.

The Pillars of Our Project

Personalized Learning

Choose one of the three main tracks: AICybersecurity, or ICT.
Customize your own study experience by selecting 3–5 modules from the course list.
Learn only what interests you, at your own pace, with full access to videos, materials, and expert support.

Free Participation

& Mobility Funding

All online courses are completely free for participants.
Students joining the AI and Cybersecurity summer schools receive additional funding to cover travel and accommodation in Poland.

Recognized Microcredentials

Each completed path awards official microcredentials issued by Poznan University of Technology – a well known European technical university.
Share them on LinkedIn or your CV to highlight your new skills and stand out in the global job market.

Goals of Our Project

Our goal is to redefine the learning experience by offering innovative, flexible, and student-centered programs in AI, Cybersecurity, and ICT. Through modular, 10 hour courses that can be freely combined, we enable learners to tailor their educational path to their needs and interests, focusing on the competencies that matter most in today’s digital world.

We also aim to create an open, accessible, and inclusive learning environment. By offering online and hybrid formats, multimedia materials aligned with accessibility standards, and flexible learning opportunities, we ensure that high-quality education is available to everyone, regardless of background, location, or individual needs.

Ultimately, IMPACT seeks to build a community of learners equipped with the skills, confidence, and global perspective needed to thrive in an evolving technological landscape, while contributing to a more sustainable, open, and innovative future.

Project tasks

Task #1
Development of high-quality educational materials

The first stage of the project focuses on creating a full set of modern, accessible and practice-oriented learning materials for the three IMPACT pathways: Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and ICT.

A team of experienced academics and industry professionals began by identifying the key competence areas needed in global digital industries. Based on this analysis, they designed a set of modular 10-hour units (15 in AI, 9 in Cybersecurity, and 15 in ICT), each targeting a specific skill that students can develop independently or as part of a broader learning path.
The materials prepared within the project include:

  • professionally designed presentations consistent with WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines,
  • video lectures prepared according to e-learning best practices,
  • competence descriptions aligned with European micro-credential standards,
  • case studies and real-world examples reflecting the current state of AI, cybersecurity, and ICT sectors.

The goal of this task is to deliver high-quality, student-centered learning resources that support individual learning styles, encourage self-paced study, and help international students gain skills relevant to today’s knowledge-based society and global labor market.

Task #2
Recruitment of participants

The second task focuses on the recruitment of international and Polish students to participate in the online editions and hybrid summer schools. The recruitment process is open, transparent and conducted according to NAWA guidelines on equal access and non-discrimination.

To participate, applicants must:

  • be enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the selected edition,
  • provide a valid confirmation of student status,
  • submit a grade transcript confirming the average from their most recent academic year,
  • sign a contract with Poznan University of Technology before joining the programme.
Participation limits

The project will support 200 students in total, including:

  • 140 international students,
  • 60 Polish students.
Financial support

Participants admitted to the AI or Cybersecurity summer schools will receive:

  • 4900 PLN to cover accommodation and living costs during the 2-week stay in Poland,
  • additional travel funding, with the amount depending on the participant’s country of origin (as defined in the recruitment regulations).

This task ensures that students from different backgrounds can access high-quality international education, regardless of their financial situation.

Task #3
Programme implementation

The third stage is the execution of all online courses and hybrid summer schools within the IMPACT project. Each programme is hosted on the Moodle LMS platform, where students gain full access to recorded materials, presentations, tasks, and discussion opportunities with lecturers.

Online editions

The project offers:

  • 3 online ICT editions — each lasting 6 weeks,
  • 1 online AI edition — 8 weeks,
  • 1 online Cybersecurity edition — 8 weeks.

During the online courses, students choose 3 to 5 modules within their selected pathway and complete them at their own pace, supported by expert consultations and synchronous meetings.

Hybrid summer schools

Two hybrid editions will be carried out:

  • AI Summer School,
  • Cybersecurity Summer School.

Each summer school includes:

  • 6 weeks of online learning,
  • 2 intensive weeks in Poznan, during which students participate in workshops, laboratories, seminars, group projects, and academic discussions.

Participants of hybrid editions also receive full financial support for travel and accommodation.

Implementation timeline
  • AI online, Cybersecurity online, ICT online (Edition I) → start: 3rd week of February
  • ICT online (Edition II) → start: early April
  • ICT online (Edition III) → start: last week of May
  • AI & Cybersecurity Summer Schools → online start: end of May, on-campus part takes place after the online phase.

This task ensures that students benefit from a well-structured, flexible educational experience combining asynchronous learning, expert guidance, and – where applicable – immersive on-site activities in Poland.

Task #4
Assessment and certification of microcredentials

The final task of the project is the validation and certification of students’ achieved learning outcomes. In line with NAWA and European Higher Education Area (EHEA) standards, the teaching process is fully separated from the assessment process to ensure transparency and fairness.

After completing their selected modules, participants undergo:

  • verification of achieved competences,
  • assessment of their learning outcomes,
  • formal validation according to micro-credential standards.

Students who successfully complete the programme receive official microcredentials issued by Poznan University of Technology, a respected European technical university.

These certificates are designed to be:

  • internationally recognizable,
  • aligned with European qualification frameworks,
  • easy to share on LinkedIn, in a CV or in digital portfolios.

This task ensures that the skills gained through IMPACT are measurable, certified, and valuable in academic and professional contexts worldwide.
